Buyer Beware: The Seat May Tear
October 29, 2011
I should have known better than to buy something called a "perforated chair!" Within 5 months of my 10 year old son using it, small tears appeared in the seat fabric and quickly turned into long rips! (At least one other customer reported a similar problem below.) We also found that the chair did not swivel properly. All in all, the chair was generally of poor quality. I contacted Customer Service to return it because of the defective seat but was offered only store credit. That was bad enough, but it was quite difficult to return. I was told to pack up the chair for a pick up, but the chair doesn't come apart so it will fit only in an ENORMOUS box. Customer Service was responsive and I finally managed to return the chair, but I am one unhappy customer. A chair that cost this much should last for more than 5 months! Now I'm stuck with store credit that I don't want or need.

Great chair for my daughter's room

I purchased the perforated airgo chair for my daughter's room and she is delighted with it. It's extremely comfortable and was very easy to assemble. The fact that you can adjust the height of the seat is an added bonus too.

Attractive, but uncomfortable

Unfortunately, when my 16 yo son sat on this chair for the first time, he found it lacking in comfort. There isn't enough padding and it is stiff. He is a slender, muscular soccer player, so more cushioning is needed for long nights of homework. It does look great in his room, but we will be returning the item. Customer service was very helpful with return options since it is impossible to fully disassemble once it is snapped together.

My son loved this chair. We ordered this chair in Navy. It is comfy and practical. Perfect for a guys room, easy to clean up- just wipe, no food stains on this chair!

Office and studio chairs

Well, at 63 I have passed the teen years. Still these chairs appealed to me and have found a home in my studio. I purchased two of them. One for my desk and one for my worktable. Great looking and comfortable!

Okay... stll not great.

I really like the way it looks but... When it came one of the wheel holders off the chir was broken, I thought "Oh thats okay!" and super glued it back togather. Then the same day I was working on home work, looked down and what do you know! The WHOLE part that holds the wheel had just broken right off the chair! Other than my construction problems, the chair looks just like I thought it would and is so comfortable! Still, I will not be buying any more of this product or for that matter, and other desk chairs from here again. Ever.

Very uncomfortable & small

I liked the way the chairs looked in the catalogue so I purchased them.
My children hate the chairs, it feels like they are sitting on wood boards. The back is also very straight and uncomfortable. In addition, they are small (my kids are 6,9 & 11). I thought they were made for teens not small children. If my husband had not thrown away the box I would have returned them.

Perfect chair for Tweens!

I purchased 2 of these chairs for my pre-teen daughters and they love them! I am tired of spending money on similar looking chairs from the office supply stores that fall apart too quickly. I know PB Teens quality is top notch so I don't mind spending more on chairs that I know my daughters will be using ALOT for years to come. They compliment all of the bedding, decor and furniture I have purchased from PB Teen....they love it!

It came the first time without bolts, but they sent us another free of charge. We got the green, and it was so cute! It took me 2 mins to put together. A great product!

Light Blue Perforated Chair

My 12 year old daughter had the chair put together before I got home and she says it was very easy to assemble. She also says it is comfortable. However, neither of us was thrilled with the color. The light blue is more grey and thus, is very different from previous items purchased from PB Teen under the color "light blue," such as the desk lamp. It's also very different from the blues in the blue and green bubble pattern that she has in her room. The blue in the picture looks more like the blue we were expecting.

Musical chairs

This chair is fantastic. It is well built and the color coffee is so perfect for Carly's Suite Life room makeover.
Carly loves to sit in this chair anytime whether to relax, do homework or practice playing her flute.
I highly recommend it for that teen who could even play musical chairs and get anything accomplished while on the go with activities.

Not quite as expected

NIce chair but I ordered white and it is really ivory. The finish stitching on back panel is sloppy and since the back of the chair faces the door in my daughter's room, it is very noticeable. It was packed well and was very easy to assemble. I hope it holds up better than the first reviewer's did. If it does not I will expect replacement from PB. I have had good experience in the past with their products so we'll see...

It only looks good...

This only looks great and matches well with PB teen furniture, yet it is not a good desk chair at all. It is very uncomfortable and hard to sit even for a little bit.
