LOVE IT!

I was looking for a bed that will last my son thru little boy to teenager. This was a perfect choice. It's a solid bed frame and looks great! It even works with his black dresser from PB Kids.

Fantastic Bed

Purchased this bed for a 2 year old & it is better than I could have imagined. The color is beautiful- not too dark- and it is very sturdy. I bought this with the intent to keep the bed for many years & it will definitely last. And the price was a plus!

Worst Delivery and Customer service ever!

I bought a new twin bed for my son and love the product, but the delivery service was awful. I have never experienced anything so bad. They kept calling my parents in Florida trying to schedule a delivery even though I had ordered the bed. I kept telling them to call me directly and for some reason they couldn't do that simple change. They also only had dleivery days 3 weeks out. Our next door neighbors also had similary problems. I would think twice before ordering again.

BEWARE-Mattress does not fit in Trundle

This was a disappointing discovery. The single mattress we have does not fit into the Trundle. We DO NOT have an extra thick single mattress. Both of our other double bed/trundle combinations are a perfect fit with the standard single mattress. This information is NOT properly disclosed and I feel is a design disaster on PB's account. Now we are forced to buy their mattress that is specifically made for this bed. Tell me if you get that from the description when considering the purchase of this item because we sure didn't!

beadboard bed and trundle

I didn't order the trundle but we did get the bed. It's more red than I thought from the catalog but well made. I wish the headboard was adjustable because it is really tall and the only place I can fit it in the room is in front of a window. Nice bed though.

I bought the this set for my son.. Its so hard to make my sons bed, you can't tuck in the sheets because of the way the bed is made. the 4 drawer dresser is very small and the wood is sooo soft that, even a book scratches it.. cheaply made.

Nice bed with a nice price

I actually bought this bed for my 2 year old son, because I wanted something that would grow with him, I thought the beds on PBKids were just too young looking. This bed looks fabulous and will go well with existing furniture. Very pleased.

Big Girl Bed!

My younger daughter inherited a guest room full of dark cherry furniture---trying to find a "girly" cherrywood bed to compliment the room was a challenge. After finding the Beadboard Basic Bed, I could not be happier with how beautiful her room is now! Solid construction and beautiful finish.....glad I decided to give this bed a try! The inside delivery was also a plus---the nicest people arranged the delivery according to my schedule and they arrived exactly at the appointed time----in and out within 15 minutes and removed all traces of packaging material. Would definitely order from Pottery Barn again!

Beautiful looking but no solid

We bought two beds for our children's bedroom. The delivery went smoothly, and we immediately loved these beds..... they are heavy (appear to be solid) and look very rich. However, after two months, the finish is flaking/chipping on the rails. We were going to buy a dresser to match from PB teen, but now are very hesitant especially since the kids will be opening and closing the drawers so much on their own. Cannot afford to buy something that will flake/chip. Now I know why these beds in espresso finish are not on the floor at the stores..... only the white pieces are on display.

I shopped around and couldnt find a better price for a simple bed. The delivery was great and the bed looks as described. The only negative is that after one month, I noticed some chips in the railing where my son climbs in and out.

After much back and forth between my husband and myself, we bought the Twin XL, dresser and bedside table for our 3.5 year old son who was moving into his "Big boy room." The furniture looks fantastic. It goes great now with the pirate theme of his room, and will certainly grow with him. the only thing is that he's already scratched one of the side rails getting into/out of bed. Errrr.
Despite this, we're going to buy another matching set for his baby brother, so that when he's big enough, they can share the room.

Looks great, durable, sturdy, masculine. Purchased for my son. Wanted a bed with a trundle for friends/company. I like that it doesn't look like a trundle unless, of course, it's pulled out.

no trundle for Queen/Full Beadboard Bed

Almost my entire home is furnished with Pottery Barn furniture for I am a true fan of the quality. However, after waiting a long time for the back ordered trundle bed which was placed with the Beadboard Bed..... when it arrived we were disappointed to learn that the design of the Queen size bed forbids the trundle fitting under the bed. Center supports for the bed frame block the trundle from sliding under the bed!!!! We purchased the Beadboard based on the trundle working for guests. Seems like this design issue should be explicit at time of purchase to avoid this mistake. The delivery company had to take the trundle right back to Pottery Barn and now I have to come up with another solution for guests.

Very nice! Great quality!

We purchased the basic bed, nightstand, and dresser for our son about a year ago. It has held up beautifully! It's a very sturdy set, and doesn't seem to scratch at all. I'm always hesitant to order something of this size and price w/o seeing it first. So far everything we've ordered from PBTeen has been the same great quality as PB.
