Sleep + Study Loft
Innovative from top to bottom, and recently re-engineered for extra durability and safety, this ingenious setup gives you a place to sleep, study, and store. 71" wide x 79.5" long x 73" high Crafted with a kiln-dried wood frame and ladder. Mattress sits directly on the bed frame; not for use with a box spring. Features a compact desk with a pullout keyboard tray. Shelves on each side hold books and supplies, and a cork panel lets you post assignments, photos and notes. Use with our mini or medium bins (max width 10") for extra storage. Finished by hand in our rich wood stains, or creamy White or Black paint. Ladder bracket fastens securely to top of bed; ladder cannot be repositioned. Worth it

We spent months deciding whether to buy this bed for our 10 year old daughter, who fell in love with it in the catalog. We shopped around hoping to find a comparable bed at a lower price, and I'm glad we did because we weren't able to find a less-expensive bed that looks good and comes with all the components. We ordered this bed in October and it came 3 weeks later. The delivery men were courteous and did a great job. We ordered the dark espresso which matched our daughter's other furniture well. Our daughter absolutely loves this bed. Her mattress from her old bed is about 9 inches thick and it works fine. The rails are several inches higher than the top of the mattress. The only issues we have with the bed are that we had to disable her ceiling fan and it's very hard to change the sheets (we were aware of these problems before we bought the bed and it's been worth the hassle).

Great for smaller room

The bed quality was excellent. It is very sturdy. Provides Lots of space for storing things and organizing. Works great in my daughter's smaller bedroom! The set up was quick and the team was very courteous.

I love this bed soooooooo much! I got it last year and I'm still so in love with it. It's like I have my own personal space for myself when I just want to read or listen to music. I love this bed!!!

Love the bed! Hate the delivery service! We had to take the bed apart and put it back together again! The delivery guys only put in half the screws and took all of the unused pieces with them! Don't let them out of the house with out checking every inch of the bed over!

Exactly as promised

I read the reviews on this product and can say they were right on - at least the positive ones. My daughter loves this unit (she is almost 13) - I purchased the mattress at a different place because PBTeen's were expensive. The unit did have a laquar smell at first but that is gone now - just newness. The deliver was spot on - the two guys who had to lug it up the stairs to my daughters room worked hard - its heavy stuff but they were VERY professional and put it together quickly. This is the only place I could find a unit like this so I would say that the price was not too over the top for what you get, bed, desk and bookshelves!

After waiting 2 months for the product we received it and it was worth the wait. It offers lots of storage space. The dimensions provided are acurate and were helpful in determining if it would work in the room. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the only 2 cons -- but for me they are important.
PROS -
Classic PB quality build,

The LEFT storage area shelves are adjustable
IF you choose not to attach the ladder -- it can be easily removed for vacuuming purposes
CONS -
When sitting at the desk you can see the unfinished slats where the mattress lays. PB should put a finished piece of wood underneath so that you don't see the mattress and the sheets while sitting at the desk.

When being assembled, you cannot choose to put at what end the bookshelf can go -- so this will limit you on how you can arrange your room.

Super Loft Bed

We recently received this loft bed - ordered for our 11 y/o daughter. She loves it! She now has a desk she loves to use and lots of storage. It's sturdy and looks perfect. I'm not sure why there are complaints about the slats. Staining them would only draw more attention to them. Unless you're looking up there, you don't even notice. It's nice to be able to run your hand up from underneath to pull sheets down. That's the only down side to the loft. It's tough to make the bed, but if you want the bed up and out of the way, what can you do. We waited almost 4 months for this bed due to back order and delivery company only came out here twice a month. It seems to be worth the wait - thank goodness! :)

Pre-Teen Study Loft

My granddaughter is 11 years old and loves this loft. I was afraid it was too big for the room, but actually seems like there is more room than when a queen bed was there. Little sister (7) wants one too and her room is even smaller, but this bed will fit nicely. Just be sure to measure the mattress height. A pillow top is much too high for the rails.

Lovin the Loft

My daughter loves her new bed. The furniture is very sturdy (impossible to move by yourself once set up). I only wish the information on the color was more. I bought the white, which is really off-white and doesn't match the white furniture we already had. Also, I wish the slats that hold the matress up were painted to match since you can see them from underneath. Otherwise we are very satisfied and I am sure we will get many years of use out of it.

My nine year old daughter loves her new bed. Her room seems so much larger now. And she has ltos of space for bins to store all her toys and art supplies. It is very solid/sturdy so she may even take it with her to college!

The overall bed is really nice. Since the study part is pretty low, it is easily seen by anyone who enters the room. Sadly, the slats for the bunk part of the bed are not stained, so they look really cheap. I expect higher quality from Pottery Barn.

Love this loft!

I love this loft! My 6 year old son has the espresso loft and my 5 year old daughter insisted she needed one too. We bought her the white one and I couldn't have agreed with her more. The PBTeen loft is so much nicer than other lofts because it has a full bed on top which gives great desk room on the bottom and they both love the bigger bed.
I love the quality of Pottery Barn, but I needed to be able to justify the price to my husband. We looked at several loft beds at local furniture stores and he could see the quality was not the same, but the advertised price was much lower. However, once we added the desk and bookshelves to the ones at the furniture stores, the price ended up being more than the Pottery Barn price.

My Daughter feels like a princess!!

My 11 year old daughter was waiting and waiting for the Chelsea Vanity Loft bed. We ordered it after a long financial wait only to be informed that it was on backorder. Then later received a call from customer service that the bed was placed on further backorder status. My daughter had already been 2 months without a bed (only mattress on the floor) and was now looking at another 5 months waiting for the Chelsea bed. So we cancelled that order and instead ordered the Sleep and Study Loft which we received within 3 weeks of ordering. I admit, at first I felt that we were "settling" for this bed, but once it was in her room, and we were finally able to finish decorating her room... my oh my... she feels like a princess! And in no way do I feel like we were settling. This bed is sturdy, beautiful, functional, and just all around awesome! Tons of storage space!! We are all very, very satisfied and delighted. The sleep and study loft was purchased to get a bigger bed for our up and coming second grader. Her room is tiny and she needs some space in her room to serve multiple functions--- we succeeded!
She is so proud of her new bed, she is organized, puts herself to bed and spends a little time in her room each day at her desk--it really helped us organize the space.
The only negative is the painted white finish has a strong lacquer ordor that takes about a week to resolve.

Great Bed!

At first when I measured for this bed i thought it would be way to big! But when i ordered it, it fit perfectly! My daughter loves the bed! Perfect for middle schoolers! My daughter has enough room that we have have a sitting area and a dresser in her room! It's beautiful! And my daughters room is pretty small so we're really happy!She loves getting away to her loft bed!

Unusable Bed

This bed has great construction and is wonderful if you never plan on sleeping in it. As soon as it was assembled, this sicking chemical smell filled the room. So far it has been about two weeks since we received it and we still can not let our daughter in her room. We have the room closed off with a fan running all day with the windows open and it still smells so bad that we still can't let her use a bed that we paid over $2000 for. We are highly dissapointed that PB Teen would let this slip through their quality control

This bed was purchased for my 8 yr old; she loves it!
I love it because it has given her ample amount of storage to be able to remove three other stands and shelves from her room. This bed and a dresser is all you need for a complete bedroom.
The deliverery men were great at bringing all the pieces in and putting it all together in record time. At first I thought the deliverery charge was a bit much but after knowing that they put it all together for us, it was well worth the shipping charges.

Love this set...

I purchased this set for my 10yr old daughter. She LOVES this bed. It fits perfectly in her room and has a great study area. It is a heavy well put together set. The only thing that I would suggest as improvements are the slates underneath, they should be painted white to match the bed.Has an "unfinished" look to them. Also, it needs more electrical "holes" to put cords thru.....otherwise AWESOME set. The shelves provide lots and lots of storage. Thank you PBTeen.
