tiles are great, frame is junk
July 2, 2011
I wish I had read the previous comments before trying to instal the framed version as I now have to get a professional to instal a box frame to hide the brackets on the edge or satisfy myself with at least 9 holes in newly painted walls...... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIT THE FRAME.... throw it away.... if you do buy the wall tiles, instal them using the frameless approach, hiding the brackets on the edges.
The frame has zero tolerance, and it is impossible to fit the tiles close enough to get it to fit over the top.

Poor installation design
June 19, 2011
Five hours to install? If you are really lucky, it will only take five hours. As previous posts mentioned, there are many, many brackets to install on the wall, all with zero tolerance. And the tiles are all of different material, which makes them very slightly different in size. But on a 3.x pattern, that really adds up. So by the end, depending on how you arranged the tiles, the frame just will not fit. I ended up completely breaking it - and will need to have a carpenter re-build one that actually does fit properly. What a waste of money.
The really odd thing is that after installing about 50-70 heavy-duty wall anchors, the tiles connect by magnets! But there is no room for error. Which seems like it would allow for adjustment, but the wall anchors prevent this.
A better design would just have you connect each tile together, build the frame around it, and screw the whole thing to the wall as one unit.
Before you consider buying this product, please give this some serious thought.

Imposible to install
December 10, 2010
I bought the 3X3 set and it took me almost 5 hours to install. I thought I would be able to assemble it on the floor and then hang it, but you have to hang each tile separately and then try to fit in the frame. Once you have it in the wall, it looks great; I just hope nothing falls off!!!

Installation isn't easy
December 2, 2010
Product looks great on my daughers wall, however, for $299 the install procedure should have been alot easier. Make sure you check the instructions before buying. I am very handy and have all the tools necessary and I measured my wall to 1/32 of an inch and still had to make alot of adjustments. You will need to install abt 30 brackets on your wall with each bracket having an anchor and a screw. All the tiles aren't exactly the same size and that throws off the measurements. I would install the brackets for top frame and just 1 side frame first. Then install the brackets for the tiles (but only the bracket that connect the tiles top/bottom. Next I would put up the frame and measure out where to install the brackets for the side and bottom of the frame. Next, start placing in tiles and mark where to install brackets that connect tiles from the side. This way you won't end up adjusting (redrilling) brackets later.
